What exactly do you mean?
Opening how (from within Excel or directly from explorer).
Any messages (ie. what happens when you try)?

I suspect the OP has the install wizard appearing each time they are trying
to open then. It was hinted at in the question. If this happens and you
cancel it, the file will not open.
