Default Problems with dragging series of decimal numbers.

Several people I work with are getting this problem, so maybe it's a bug and
I'll have to hope that the Excel Gods one day fix this.

Example: We type in .111 in A1 and then .112 in A2. Then select both and
drag them down about 800 rows. At some point, the numbers will change from
..xxx to .xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Once the series of numbers reach 1.000, the
problem will go away. Has anyone seen this issue and if so, come up with a
resolution? This is screwing up different tables and graphs that our users
are setting up.

We are running Office 2003 SP1 on Windows XP SP1.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
