Problems exporting Access tables to Excel

I'm having troubles when I export tables from Access to Excel. Excel begins
to open up, the toolbar appears, but then Excel freezes up. This doesn't
ahppen all the time. I have successfully exported many tables to excel, but
Excel freezes up occassionally. I can't figure out what's different between
the successful exports & the unsuccessful ones. Any hints/clues? Thanks.

How are you doing the export? The Excel UI doesn't need to open to
write a file on disk.
