Starting Excel get Gathering Information everytime

I am currently running Office Premium 2K. When ever Excel starts, I get the following window pop up stating: Microsoft Office 2000 Premium, Please wait while Windows configured Microsoft Office 2000 Premium. Gathering required information... It's not that this locks the program up, it just pops up everytime and I am not sure if there is a setting on Excel or Office that can stop this from happening. The obvious has been done (reinstallation). The problem just came back the next day. This does not happen in Word, Access, FrontPage, or PowerPoint. I believe it has SP1 or 2.
