Check to see if you have Adobe 5 installed, there appears to be a conflict.
We had the same problem, print preview freezes and a hardboot is required.
When we removed Adobe 5, Excel started working again.

I am having a similar problem but only when I log on at the
prompt when booting up Windows 98. I get the same "system
dangerously low on resources" message and have to hard
boot. However if I hit escape at the login prompt on
bootup the machine works fine. This is consistent w/print
preview in Word too. At bootup even when logging on there
is 81% system resources.

any thoughts?
