Illegal Operation after switching printers

I try to print a spreadsheet to my HP Deskjet 990 and I
keep getting an illegal operation. The illegal operation
come up after I select the printer because it isn't the
default printer on the system. Here's the exact error
message.

EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in
module GDI32.DLL at 017f:bff2c57d.
