Default Remove gridlines from contour plot?

Anybody know a way to remove the black gridlines from a
contour plot? They're so thick that they obscure any
coloring on a big plot, and I can't find a way around
them. (The normal gridlines menu is not there.)

Thanks,
Jason

Jason -

When you format the little squares in the legend to select colors for
the different regions, format each without a border. This removes the
lines between colors and the X-Y grid.
