I have created a multiple sheet Excel workbook, with
about 15 pages of charts and tables. The problem is that when I print them (whether to a printer, or a print preview), some of the objects move around. For example, my value axis title, which appears as two lines when viewing in Excel, appears as a single line in Print Preview, and overlays across the plot area. Another (more serious) problem occasionally occurs, when the chart line (this is a line chart), moves itself up or down when printing, so the data points displayed on the chart do not match the data. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any ideas of what is causing it, or better yet, how to fix it would be appreciated. I should also note that while I am opening the file in Excel 2003, the file was originally created in Excel 2000. Thanks in advance! -Glenn |

Glenn -
I rarely have this problem. I think it's because I always move and resize the various pieces of the chart. I think doing this removes any urge for Excel to resize anything. But I've also seen people blame outdated printer drivers for this behavior. Point fingers at anyone else, right? - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier/Excel/index.html _______ Glenn wrote: > I have created a multiple sheet Excel workbook, with > about 15 pages of charts and tables. See if either of these apply. If not, you might want to search the

The 1st article actually helped with the axis titles and
legends shifting (curiously even thought it says the problem was corrected way back with Excel 95). I am still having the occastional problem with chart lines shifting, which is a very serious problem, which I have not been able to resolve. Nothing in the KB seems relevant. This almost always happens when I print to a PDF, but sometimes in a print preview as well. I don't see anything related in either MS or Adobe's support. >-----Original Message----- >See if either of these apply. You might want to check if the problem is related to a view zoom
setting (View | Zoom...) Does the problem go away if you use 100% as the setting? -- Regards, Tushar Mehta, MS MVP -- Excel www.tushar-mehta.com Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA add-ins, tutorials Custom MS Office productivity solutions In article <011701c3b375$5cc33b70$a301280a@phx.gbl>, anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com says... > The 1st article actually helped with the axis titles and > legends shifting (curiously even thought it says the > problem was corrected way back with Excel 95). > > I am still having the occastional problem with chart > lines shifting, which is a very serious problem, which I > have not been able to resolve.
