Hi, I am putting together a bar chart and thought it would be a nice touc to change the colour of the gridlines to represent threshold markings ie. 10 - 50 = green ; 60 - 80 = Amber ; 80 and above would be red. Is there any way I can individually colour the horizontal gridlines a the only option I have at the moment is to colour all the same. thank ----------------------------------------------- ~~ Message posted from http://www.ExcelTip.com ~~View and post usenet messages directly from http://www.ExcelForum.com |

To create individually formatted gridlines, check out this page:
http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier...es.html#ArbGrid which uses error bars on a dummy series to provide the actual gridlines. Skip the use of crosses as points and data labels for axis labels if these are satisfactory in the original chart. You need a different dummy series for each differently formatted set of gridlines. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier/Excel/index.html _______ Debra Dalgleish wrote: > Jon Peltier has instructions for conditional charts: > > http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier....html#CondChart > > Matt T wrote: > >> Hi, I am putting together a bar chart and thought it would be a nice >> touch >> to change the colour of the gridlines to represent threshold markings. >> ie. 10 - 50 = green ; 60 - 80 = Amber ; 80 and above would be red.
