Hi,
Let's say the x-values are in A2:A100, the y-values in B2:B100 In C2 enter =AVERAGE($B$2:$B$100) and copy down to C100 (double click the fill handle on C2 and Excel will do the rest) Select C2:C100; click to activate the chart, and use either a simple Paste or Paste Special to add a new series. In an XY chart you just need two pairs of data points. Bernard "dgiardi" <dgiardi@conemaugh.org> wrote in message news:10e9101c38386$79dc8fa0$a601280a@phx.gbl... > I want to a line chart.
