Can't set alignment in Pivot Chart

I have a pivot chart with 2 level category labels on the
x axis. It looks a bit like this:

1/4 1/6 | 1/4 1/6 | 1/4 1/6 | 1/4 1/6 |
Company A | Company B | Company C | Company D |

I can change the dates (1/4, 1/6) to display vertically,
but not the company names(Company A, Company B).

Is there a trick to this? I added a third level, the
year. But I still could only change the top level.
