Template File Locations

According to microsoft.com, "To use additional templates,
you must put them in the following folder: C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\1033". This doesn't make
sense. There will be as many copies of the templates as
there are users. Why can't I just direct it to the default
network location like you do in Office 2000? Any help is
appreciated.

You can set the workgroup template location in MSWord and excel will respect
that.

Inside word:
tools|options|File locations tab|workgroup templates.
