Excel 2000 not working in Win XP

I have installed two different versions of Excel 2000
onto my windows XP Home Laptop, and after a long weekend
when I don't use the latop Excel starts acting freaky. It
won't open previously saved files, email attachments. I
thought it could be norton but its not.

What error messages are you getting? Excel 2000 works just fine with XP
