Default Excel 2000 on Windows 2000 - Files in separate windows

For some reason, Excel 2000 is now working at 97 whereby
each file is opening in the same window, having to be
accessed through the Window menu. I am not getting
separate tabs for each file.

This is happening as a result of opening 4 files at the
same time.

Please could someone help.

Thanks.

Jackie

Jackie

Tools>Options>View. "Windows in Taskbar" must be checked.

Also from Debra Dalgleish...............

The following MSKB article may help:

OFF2000: Only One Icon Visible in Taskbar When "Windows in Taskbar"
Option Is Selected
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=215816

Or, if it's a shared workbook, it's probably a bug, that's been fixed in
Excel 2002:

Thanks for the reply. Is this something that "can just
happen", as the machines had been fine and, as far as I am
aware, the option has never been into to be switched off?

Unfortunately the support page didn't help, as the
machines have W2K on them.
