Setup error messages

Hello -

I set up Office XP (from a discounted academic version of
Office XP), but whne I try to run Excel or Word I get one
fof the thre error messages below. Any advice or
instructions on how to correct this will bemcuh
appreciated. I have already tried to re-install or repair
a couple of times.

Error: messages:

"Compile error in hidden module: AutoExec"
(when MS WOrd is started)

"Compile error in hidden module: AutoExecNew"
(When Excel is started)

"Compile error in hidden module: DistMon"
(when Excel is closed)
