Hi,
Im a tech support rep from DELL and we're having problems with connecting new systems on WinXP SP2 to connect online. System is on DSL and I've already disabled firewall and uninstalled Norton Internet Security but still no go. Network is active and customer already consulted ISP and you guys but still unable to pull-up any webpage. Is there any other setting that I can do to resolve this issue? Thanks Allan DellTech |

I doubt that you are a Dell technician and you are a liar !
Dell would have a direct communication link to Microsoft and NO technician would need to post to a public News Group. A Dell technician would just pick up the phone and have MS engineers ready and willing to help. That's Dell's agreement with Microsoft. In addition a Dell technician would not be that stupid as to use the MS CDO to post. "IF" a Dell Technician was to query a public News Group he would be a professional and NOT state his employer and he/she would be using a News Client such as OE or Agent. In addition, a Dell employee would be posting from [ 143.166.0.0~143.166.255.255 ] in Texas (Alabama or Mississippi) and certainly not from Etelecare International in Monrovia, California ! It is HIGHLY UNETHICAL to pose as someone who you are not or an entity with whom you are not a party to ! < PLONK > Dave "BlueRiff88" <BlueRiff88@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:91A68251-B4F0-4038-B240-08698F5195B9@microsoft.com... | Hi, | | Im a tech support rep from DELL and we're having problems with connecting | new systems on WinXP SP2 to connect online. Hi Dave,
Im sorry for not introducing my self to you properly. I was currently on the phone when I created this post that's why I didn't dialled your number. Remember that DELL is outsourcing and I'm an agent from ETELECARE with DELL badge 433856. Im actually in Manila, Philippines and I didn't mean to mislead or deceive you with my identity. Again I apologize. "David H.
