Default Language Settings Custom

Dear All,

I have WinXp professional with SP1 installed. I also have Office XP
installed. I have selected the regional Language settings in the control
panel to English US. I have customised the numeric format to show the digit
grouping as 12,34,56,789.00. I have done the same in the currency grouping.
It shows this format when showing the file sizes etc. correctly. But I am
unable to access this format in Excel belonging to the Office XP. How can I
make this digit grouping available in Excel numeric format? Please clarify.

Thanking all in advance,
K. Ramaswamy
