Tom

Go to Start>Run and enter "excel.exe"(no quotes)>OK

What happens? Nothing? An error message?

Start>Search(Find?)>Files and Folders. Search for excel.exe

What are the results? Nothing?

Perhaps Excel was not installed with the original installation. The install
of Office may have been a selective one.

Do you have the original Office Pro 2000 CD in case you have to install Excel
from CD?
