Default Strange Windows Splash Screen

I just noticed that our CEO's PC anti-virus program was
somehow disabled. When I run a manual scan now, nothing
shows. Stranger than that, when i run a spysweeper sweet,
absolutely nothing shows up. I have never had "nothing"
show up before.

I think this computer may be hacked. Another strange thing
is upon booting Windows XP, the Windows XP splash screen
does NOT look normal.

You normally see the logo with the Windows XP below that,
and then below that the version, either Professinal
Edition or Home Edition.

This boot shows neither! Just Windows XP nothing else.
I've never seen that either. Any ideas?

same screen
