Alerts by email

I have a number of Windows XP machines that I manage. Is
it possible to have a daily summary of events of interest
to me (a customizable list) sent to me by email? The
kinds of things I am looking for are programs added to
the registry to run at system start up, certain types of
security and application warnings and errors.
