After installing SP2 I keep getting an error when I start
the computer. 1. It doesn't recognize Norton Anti-virus 2004 2. I get an icon in the tray area, a red shield with an x it suggesting that I get another anti virus program. When I check windows firewall in setting, the systems tells me that the firewall is turned on, the green shield with a check mark. The only thing I can think of is that I use Netscape 7.1, rather than IE. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks |

The security center gives me the creeps, Ive tried 3
different anti-virus programs and it havent recognised any of them, I suggest you do like me and turn the security center off in administrations tools/services regards Mattias >-----Original Message----- >After installing SP2 I keep getting an error when I start >the computer. >1. After installing XP Service Pack 2, the message "Your computer might be at risk . . . " appears http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...src=con_web_nam and http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/sp2/faq.html http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/sp2/support_doc.html Alternatively, to avoid the message: Control Panel/Security Center, click on the "Change the Way Security Center Notifies Me" link in the left pane. -- torgeir, Microsoft MVP Scripting and WMI, Porsgrunn Norway Administration scripting examples and an ONLINE version of the 1328 page Scripting Guide: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sc...er/default.mspx |
