Default SP"

Hi, I have loaded SP2 onto my home computer twice now and
both times I have had to uninstall as my computer won't
boot up. It seems to work fine after finishing the
install and restarting the computer, but the next time I
turn the computer off and start up again the computer
won't start up (no screen, no password required, etc.).
Both times I have had to start in safe mode, restore to
previous time and start again, and then the computer
works fine.
Does anyone have any ideas why this would be happening?

Thanks,
Norris

Default RE: SP"

Hi,

I to am experiencing similar problems installing SP2.
I have a amd 3800+ Running xp professional with SP1.

I Install SP2 fine, then the machine restarts, the machine
boots perfectly until it gets to the windows xp logo with the
blue animated bars, at this point the machine restarts and
the loop continues. The only way i can get the machine to boot
into windows is by running it in safe mode and then removing SP2.

Any ideas as to why this is happening would be much appriciated.

Thanks
