Default Private folder on old HardDrive

Thnx for taking the time to read this. I recently bought
a new computer that came w/ Windows xp(professional).
After I bought the computer I put my OLD harddive (which
had windows xp home edition) in the NEW computer so I
could transfer folders/files, but what I am having
problems with is my user folder on the old harddrive.
You see, when I was on my old computer I had marked that
folder 'private' so no one could see what I had on my
desktop/favorites/documents. So know when I try to
access that folder I get a error:

F:\Documents and Settings\'username' is not accessible
Access is denied.

Is there a way to access those folders on the old
harddrive that were marked 'private' even when I am using
a newer version of windows xp on the new computer

Take Ownership see Help and Support, or
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=308421
but do not do this if you are planning on putting the drive
back into the old system and using it as before. If this is
the case, then you will need to have another account on
the old system that is an admin there which you can use
afterward to set the permissions back to full control for the
account to which this was private.
