Default resetting administration permissions after deleting user

hi, i seem to have a problem with administration permissions after having to
delete my original administrator profile due to a problem. I now use my
secondary administrator profile, but it wont allow me to use certain
applications as i dont have the appropriate permissions, is this something to
do with deleting the admin account that installed windows? im using xp home
on a sony vaio. and yes my account is an admin account according to control
panel, and i know i should upgrade!
thanks

Default Re: resetting administration permissions after deleting user

Boot to safe mode and use the default Administrator account to define
permissions for your new account.
