Default Administrative privilidges removed

All of my priviledges, both security, and administrative have vanished.
Also, I am unable to log on to my main user profile. The message says that
it is corrupted, or that files are missing. Please, any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Your privileges are gone with your corrupted account. I suggest you boot
to safe mode by tapping F8 repeatedly after the BIOS screen gives way to
the XP boot screen and run System Restore back to a point before the
profile corruption. Then scan your disks to make sure your file system
is OK and go forward from there.

If your main user profile is also Administrator, then welcome to fresh
install time, but you likely created another account when you installed
XP. Use a blank password for safe mode logon if you don't recall setting
the Administrator password.
