I have a second hard drive that I keep encrypted. My
main hard drive had a crash and I had to reformat and reinstall Windows. So now I cannot access the encrypted data on my second hard drive (as I expected.) My question is, can I get this data back in any way, or is it simply gone? |

Nick;
For all practical purposes the data may be gone for good. See this link for possible options if you have the necessary back-ups: http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/encrypt.htm Also see the links near the bottom to help prevent this in the future. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/ "Nick" <demiurge314@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:2f3bb01c46d4e$f510eba0$a401280a@phx.gbl... > I have a second hard drive that I keep encrypted. you simply copy the keys you saved when you set up
encryption back to the new install and it will start working again. >-----Original Message----- >I have a second hard drive that I keep encrypted.
