Default Listening issues?

Hello all,
I'm on XP Home, with msn as ISP,my ZA tells me
that the Generic Host Process for Win32 Services
is listening to port(s) TCP:3004,3005.
If shutting this service down,I can't go anywhere
with my IE,so I need to have it on,but do I
have a security issue here with this service
"listening"? What is it listening to,or for !!
Thanks for any info...

Hi,
This is normal for windows as the win32 is a critical
system file and when it says "listening" it means that it
is waiting for approved data on the port(s) it mentions.
Don't worry we(xp users)all have the same thing
