I have a computer running XP Home Edition and I have not
been able to share a printer or directory to a compyter from XP Pro. I have the XP firewall disabled, file and print sharing installed/enabled and have the printer and directory shared with no restrictions. However, the XP Pro machine can only see the machine name and not either of the shares that have been created. For testing purposes I also tried to share a directory on the XP Pro machine and also could not view the share from the XP Home Edition machine (only the machine name can be seen when browsing). I am assuming this is a security/authentication issue but I can't figure out what it is. Any help would be appreciated. |

Are you using Zone Alarm? ZA can be a problem just installed.
