Default Help! Help! weird problem

Hi,
I have a windows 2000 server running SBS2000 and five
windows XP Pro clients, the problem is that when users
are using Word every now and then when they save there
document to the server they get an error saying that the
document could not be saved then when they retry
sometimes it saves. I have looked the errors up and
Technet suggest that the server file-sharing and file-
locking capabilities are not turned on or are set too
low, but does not tell me how to adjust this, i have also
noticed that some of the temp and owner files created by
word are not being deleted. I thought i had solved the
problem by turning off offline files but is has come
back, please help.

Hi Spencer,

Have a look at www.smallbizserver.net for the solution. Make sure the nics
on the XP-clients are not on autosense.
Also, the newsgroup microsoft.public.backoffice.smallbiz2000 is especially
for SBS 2000.
