Hi Janet,

I found several references to this problem in our knowledge base...the resolutions are presented below:

#1

If this error is encountered, a scan with Ad-aware may resolve the issue.

1. Download Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com
2. Update Ad-aware
3. Run a scan with Ad-aware to remove any spyware

#2

This is a virus. (Possibly Gaobot or one of its variants.)
Make sure customer has all available SP and updates installed.
Check run keys for anything suspicious expecially Gaobot variants:
http://securityresponse.symantec.co...gaobot.aay.html
Download and run the available tools for Gaobot at:
http://securityresponse.symantec.co...tools.list.html

#3

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service

pack for Microsoft Windows 2000. For additional information, click the

following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

KBLink:260910.KB.EN-US: How to Obtain the Latest Windows 2000 Service Pack

Hope one of these helps

Hi Dave,
I am getting similar errors. Here is my error log in event viewer.
** LOG START **
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
MRxSmb
NetBIOS
NetBT
RasAcd
Rdbss
Tcpip
vsdatant
** LOG END **

I have installed spysweeper as well as an antivirus. However this error has
not gone away. I have an nVidia card. Is this a card issue?
