Hi guys, wish someone could help me on this one - I have
been informed by SAP Basis consultant that my Windows 2000 server performance counters for processors and logical disks has been missing. In sap R/3, the sapOscol function is being use to trigger a call to windows API RegQueryValueEx function to collect performance data at the OS level. According to him when sapOsCol triggered windows API RegQueryValueEx it will look for HKEY_PERFORMANCE_DATA registry key to obtain the information but in my case this registry key is either missing or corrupted. Did anyone know how can I fix this problem? thanks in advance.... |

You can Add/Remove them by regedit, but it's much easier to use exctrlst.exe
(Extensible Counter Listing Tool) from the resource kit to enable/ disable the counters. http://www.microsoft.com/windows200.../exctrlst-o.asp -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. Thank for the advice, but unfortunately both technotes
830076 and 315043 doesn't help at all. I'm looking at note 300956 which describe how to rebuild performance counter library value manually. But it seems very complicated to me. Any better way? >-----Original Message----- >You can Add/Remove them by regedit, but it's much easier to use exctrlst.exe >(Extensible Counter Listing Tool) from the resource kit to enable/ disable >the counters. > >http://www.microsoft.com/windows200...fo/reskit/tools /existing/exctrlst-o.asp > >-- >Regards, > >Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. >Microsoft Certified Professional >Microsoft MVP [Windows] >http://www.microsoft.com/protect > > >"Yap Seong Ming" wrote: >| Hi guys, wish someone could help me on this one - I have >| been informed by SAP Basis consultant that my Windows 2000 >| server performance counters for processors and logical >| disks has been missing.
