Installing print driver and having wrong paper size

If I install a Postscript driver I will have A3 or A4 paper size in my
applications? In the printer driver I will have letter but in the
application it is A3 or A4. If in the printer driver I select another paper
size then apply then come back to letter and apply, I will have letter in my
applications?

Is it a way to correct this? We have many printers and they are all doing
that.

I tried it on windows XP pro and Windows XP home.
