updates on beta1

i hope that there's a beta1 update/patch soon so people
won't get frustated with this software

The initial definitions have been updated twice since the beta was
distributed first. I'm sure there will be further updates, of definitions
certainly, and perhaps of code, but I've no knowledge of such decisions or
the timing of them.
