I'm an XP professional user and I can't get this program to
get passed the scanning phase - it freezes when it gets to the end of the scan - and I have not been able to proceed any further. I have lots of problems but the program tells me each time I have not run any scans so far! to date 12 scans with no effect!!! Any clues? Timmy |

Do you know if the system has any spy|malware installed on it ? It may be that is the root of the issue. You can do a preliminary scan here http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/ but it is NOT the definitive way to do so. Please feel free to ask for assistance if you need some. I like Steve Wechsler's suggestion.
I've got some too: 1) You say that you have "lots of problems."--so, I hope you are referring to spyware? Please submit a report: Tools., Suspected Spyware Report. Let me know whether this function works for you, if you can. Secondly, you might try scanning in safe mode. Safe Mode can prevent some virus and spyware code from loading at startup, which gives the clean-up programs a better chance at dealing with them. No panacea, but easy enough to try. I'm getting the same error...
I don't have any spy/malware running... disabled spyhunter and ad-aware... Tried running in safe-mode still locked up towards the end of the scan... Usually when trying to scan the registry. I wish they made a command line version that could run off bootable media >-----Original Message----- >I like Steve Wechsler's suggestion. > >I've got some too: > >1) You say that you have "lots of problems."--so, I hope you are referring >to spyware? > >Please submit a report: Tools., Suspected Spyware Report. > >Let me know whether this function works for you, if you can. > >Secondly, you might try scanning in safe mode. Interesting. You might submit a suspected spyware report (tools, suspected
spyware report) and describe the situation in the fields allowed for descriptive stuff. That doesn't collect your registry, which I suspect is part of the issue, but maybe it'll help. If you get an error--try multiple times--it should go through eventually. I've no idea what kind of issue is at the root of this one--the registry is not something you want to mess with, so I don't have any fix for you, I'm afraid.
