Software Locks up

When I run the antispyware it locks up after it starts
searching the registry. Then it give a message that it
needs to expand the systems vitual memory, I click ok and
the message goes away, but the beta stays locked up.
Anyone else have this problem? or fixes?

I had to remove, Sys. Restore!
Ran scan, selected items to delete but afterwards could
not open program=Not responding.
My computer started shutting down during the night,
required I sign in next morn, then said recovering
from "Serious Error!"

Yes it does lockup However It will not let me remove or
sys. restore. Says the installer was not installed
properly and then shuts down At this point I have tried
everything and am stumped as to how to fix it.

Tim - have you tried restarting your machine in safe mode, and then running
a scan?

Otto - I have a couple of thoughts about your situation.

What happens if you attempt to reinstall it again. It may be useful to turn
off the real-time protection of your antivirus application just for the
period of the install.

If that doesn't work--let me know what happens--there's an Installer Cleaner
application from Microsoft that can help clean up this kind of situation,
and that's what I'd think of to try next.
