Default Updater on New MS Spyware Beta software.

Is the updater for spyware definitions not online? Every
time I try to update the definitions, the program tells me
it can not detect an internet connection.

So far, that is the ONLY problem I have discovered. Ran a
scan and it worked beautifully. I also run Ad-Aware and
Spybot, but this actually found a registry key that I was
unaware of(Bargain Buddy .dll), neither of the other
programs picked it up.

I applaud Microsoft for finally breaking into this arena
and realizing the only way to truly secure thier OS is to
create AV and Spybot software that is made specifically
for it.

I hope this software will be as good as I anticipate.

What can you tell me about hte update function though? I
would really like to update.

Thanks

There seems to be an issue with updates at this moment in time. You, I, and
a third user I'm in contact with are all seeing the same thing, so it looks
like it is at the far end of the connection.

Try again in a few hours is my suggestion.

Thanks for the quick response. I will do that. I really
like the program so far.

Updater seems to work now. Ran it as a test after reading
the message. It ran fine. Of course I didn't expect any
updates, since I just installed it.
