Wanted to post some basic advise on removing spyware
which might be helpful. Before running antispy apps empty
all temp directories ie local profile tmps / windows tmp,
I.E. tmp / sys32-config-sysprofile-local tmp / even
dumping XP restore cache. Check MSCONFIG for non needed
startup apps and services. Empty recycle bin and run
AntiSpy app. Remeber AntiSpy programs usually only detect
spyware and often miss backdoor trojans which love to
dump the crap back. Download AVG 7.0 Trial, update and
run to remove these pests. If still having issues repeat
steps in SAFE mode. Other great tools are Hijack this,
LSP fix, Winsock fix.
