I have my Antispyware scheduled to run 11 AM each day.
Just recently I have started getting dialog box at the time it should scanning which states "To run this application you must insert the CD "Backup: Dell- Installed Programs to run this application". It will not start scanning until the CD is inserted and clicked OK. I have this software installed for a while, but it just recently started requiring the CD. Any comments on this appreciated. Thanks |

Interesting--I don't know what triggers this appearance.
I think I do know how do deal with it, though: Download the Windows Installer cleanup tool: http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;290301 Search the output of this tool for the Dell application you are seeing, and have it remove the installer information for it. Alternatively, you can reinstall this Dell application from the original CD, and, if you don't need it on your system, then uninstall it. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Leroy McReynolds" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:0e4501c52b18$04fb3a70$a401280a@phx.gbl... >I have my Antispyware scheduled to run 11 AM each day. > Just recently I have started getting dialog box at the > time it should scanning which states "To run this > application you must insert the CD "Backup: Dell- > Installed Programs to run this application".
