Default Blocked Earthlink 6.0 and Firefox?

I've no doubt "allowed" or "blocked" something stupid,
but now I can't get either my Earthlink email or my
internet to work. The web opens, but the screen is
blank. The email tries to connect (my DSL appears fine),
but nothing downloads. I've checked the "blocked" files,
and I don't have anything blocked at all anymore. I have
turned off everthing and restarted countless times.
Any advice?

Yeah, equally blank with IE. I'm wondering if some
malware has interupted everything, and my installation of
Firefox and MSAS (I did both one day last week) is just
coincidental. Aieeeeeeeeeee

Ron Chamberlin, answer should work, since it seems that your winsock control
was damaged. Since IE nor Firefox can connect.
