Default Microsoft Firewall disabled

I isstalled the Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta on my
computer. I have Windows XP with SP2.
After setting it up and using it I discovered tha my
Micosoft Firewall had been shut off. I have not been able
to on even after uninstalling the Anti-Spyware.
is there anything that I can do to correct this.
I wouldn't be asking if it wasn't such a crittical
issue. Please help.
