Sigh, it's beta software (under test), of course there are issues with it, some false positives are items of software I'm happy being notified about, largely remote control software. It's not even remotely near final release yet, to just a tad premature to right it off. What sort of people has this beta release uncovered? Andy |

Welcome to the internet, Andy :^) The Beta worked OK for me except for the one Spybot false indication (SearchSquire). Keep up the good work. Francis Pitas |

Whether you agree it's a beta program is beyond my control and I don't work for microsoft. But my understanding is that it's a product that microsoft acquired, but are developing further. If this is the case, there will be bugs and false-positives, these will be resolved as part of the development process I expect. I would rather test and wait for the final version, of a product that is being developed by the very people who produce the software (windows) that there is issues with. If people are using software under development and opting to remove files without being clear as to what they are removing, then they need further education. This software has been repeatedly publicised as beta software, not a final release, and should be treated as such. Users removing files without seeking further information is not the fault of microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/athome/sec...re/default.mspx Look, it says Beta quite clearly. Andy |
