Adoption of Microsoft Anti-Spyware threatens the entire
installed base of all Grand Virtual's products, and new installations via direct download or CD-ROM. MS Anti-Spyware mis-identifies *all* of Grand Virtual's applications as "CashDialer", labelling them a severe threat. It recommends deletion of everything installed under the c:\Program Files\grandvirtual directory. Giant's virus/spyware directory is offline, and Microsoft hasn't put it back online. Fortunately, Google cached the CashDialer page at http://64.233.161.104/search? q=cache:8fyaT6FJeOoJ:www.giantcompany.com/antispyware/resea rch/spyware/spyware-CashDialer.aspx+cashdialer&hl=en. Grand Virtual views this situation with the utmost seriousness and expect Microsoft to take *immediate* action to remedy the situation. Grand Virtual is a long-term Microsoft customer and MSDN subscriber. We are part of a publicly traded (Nasdaq) company. We manufacture gaming software in 16 languages for the worldwide market. For compatibility testing, software download is accessible via: http://www.CasinoElegance.com http://www.CasinoFantasy.com http://www.EverestPoker.com We have several additional sites, and a private labelling capability. Please contact us at realworldlab@grandvirtual.com, Office of the CTO at Grand Virtual at 617-547-6323. |

The only way to contact Microsoft with this type of request is through the
official vendor dispute process. ALL anti-spyware applications should identify online
casino software as a threat. Not only is online gambling illegal in the US, where Microsoft is based, but 99% of online-casino software is or contains spyware and/or trojans of some sort (typically dialers). The level of threat, however, is negotiable. Since you provide hard-copies (CD-ROM versions) of the software, it should probably be auto-ignored. >-----Original Message----- >Adoption of Microsoft Anti-Spyware threatens the entire >installed base of all Grand Virtual's products, and new >installations via direct download or CD-ROM. > >MS Anti-Spyware mis-identifies *all* of Grand Virtual's >applications as "CashDialer", labelling them a severe >threat. All those gamblers not being able to gamble. That really upsets me. I wonder how many other gambling spyware things it disables? Hopefully all of them. Putting any type of spyware or malware on anyone's
computer should be illegal. That is the issue, not your right to gamble. >-----Original Message----- >"online gambling in the us is illegal" > >Uh really when was that decided? last I checked a case had >not gone to court to dispute the legality, and the us >congress has passed no laws banning it. > > > > >>-----Original Message----- >>ALL anti-spyware applications should identify online >>casino software as a threat.
