The gcasdtserv.exe file has hijacked my CPU and I cannot
get my computer to respond. I have tried rebooting and
the problem still persists. HELP!!!

I've seen this reported with reference to a particular antivirus running
simultaneously.

Can you try: 1) disabling your antivirus application temporarily to see if
the behavior changes, and 2) posting what that application is?

There is not any anti-virus software active or running.
I did unplug my internet and it allowed me to reboot and
recover and delete the download.

Kara,

When did you notice the CPU increase? Was it scanning your computer at the
time, downloading updates, etc? Also, what operating system were you on at
the time, what type of processor, and how much memory is installed on that
machine. I look forward to your answer.
