Default MSAS load time is slow with new defs

Has anyone noticed since installing the latest definitions (5719) that the
program loads significantly slower than before. It used to take about 15
seconds to load double clicking on the MSAS icon in the system tray. Now it
takes 5 minutes or more to load the program. It seems to be trying to
download from the internet when trying to load the program.

This isn't happening for me. Have you checked whether the defs really
updated properly?

I have also noticed this problem. After some time MSAS
could not even load and I had to restart the computer.

The site does not give the MD5 hash for the latest definitions so I
uninstalled MSAS and deleted the program folder and reinstalled and
downloaded the latest defs. It now loads as it did before. I am ready for
Beta2.

I'm facing the same trouble. Its taking ages for MSAS to
start after the last update of the definitions and program.

It's not taking about 10 minutes on my system to start.

Try removing Microsoft Antispyware, deleting the files in the folder it was
installed in (unless you need to preserve settings or quarantine items.)
and then reinstalling it.
