Default Can't Activate Realtime Protection

Hi...
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but for some
reason NONE of the AGENTS will run in real time...nothing
I do will change that...I don't see anything blocked but
they won't run.

Strange that even if I uninstall it won't fix the
problem...

If you have the answer please drop me an email at
js_galbraith@comcast.net...I would REALLY appreciate
it...thank you,

Joseph

As MSAS relies on VB DLL's you can try to apply the patch for those
libraries, maybe this will help:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displaylang=en

The second thought however is that you may have an infected system, infected
with malware that prevents MSAS from functioning properly. This means you
have to clean the system first.
To do so, start the system in the Safe mode (F8 during boot-up), run Windows
Explorer, go to your profile temporary folders (usually C:\Documents and
Settings\username\local settings\temp and c:\....\local settings\Temporary
Internet Files\Content.IE5) and delete all the files in those directories
and subdirectories.

Then do a full system scan with MS AntiSpyware (check the proper option
under Scan settings).

If you don't use any firewall - then start using one (Zone Alarm, Kerio,
Agnitum Otpost or any other).
If you don't have an antivirus - use one (here is for example a free one
http://www.free-av.com) and keep it up to date.
Also - keep the system up to date (I mean the service packs and patches).

And of course you can try other "cleaning" software:

Spybot Search&Destroy http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html
HijackThis http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html
CWShredder http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3019.html

Try this:
You can repair Windows AntiSpyware using Add or Remove Programs in Control
Panel. Click Microsoft AntiSpyware and click Change. Click Next, and then
click Update.
