Default Microsoft Spyware misses 56 spyware hits

I just updated and ran Microsoft AntiSpyware scanner,
it is a good product, but needs a LOT of work in the
sypware signatures. Way way WAY too often it finds nothing
and says the system is clean, meanwhile I run Ad Aware's
freeware scanner, and on a system that was just scanned by
Microsofts scanner minutes ago it finds 56 potential
spyware items in " MICRSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER!!!!!"

Microsoft has an excellent front end, but it is woefully
behind in spyware signatures. Especially when a free ware
scanner can find them.

HINT TO MICROSOFT SPYWARE PROGRAMMERS !!!!
Download Ad Aware and use thier signatures to add sigs to
your scanner, you are on the right track, but it is like
having a great looking cop sitting on the road looking for
speeders and his radar is not turned on.

Gotta get with the program a nice interface does not a
program make.

Microsoft Antispyware does not scan cookies in the builds distributed thus
far.

If Ad-Aware is finding 53 potential spyware items, a review of your online
habits is in order. The first line of defence is an educated user. I
reccomend some light reading, Keeping Windows Clean

and then read more here

While it IS possible that Ad-Aware catches one or two
things that MSAS misses (which is why most people run
multiple applications), in all probability the "56
potential spyware items" of which you speak are cookies.
The most current version of MSAS does not scan for cookies
as it does not regard cookies to be spyware.
