Default Entries in host file won't be removed - help please!

Hi all, I have a problem with my host file. It has been
hijacked with lots of entries pointing to my loopback
address, like this;

127.0.0.1 r1.clrsch.com
127.0.0.1 code.ignphrases.com
127.0.0.1 clear-search.com
127.0.0.1 r1.clrsch.com
127.0.0.1 sds.clrsch.com

etc etc

There are several more of these.

If I use a search engine on the internet like google, the
spyware will first direct me to a page called
vvv.spotresult.com (yes, you are reading the right
address "vvv" instead of "www"). Very annoying. Microsoft
Anti spyware doesn't seem to find this sort of spyware. I
would really like to get rid of this crap. Anyone out
there that have an idea how? All sugguestions will be
greatly appreciated.

thanks, Vegard

Hi

Try this tool for resetting your hosts file

Download Hoster:
http://members.aol.com/toadbee/hoster.zip
Unzip, install the program and run it.
Press *Restore Original Hosts* and press OK*
Exit the program, and you should now be able to access the sites you
need.

MSAS then protect your hosts file after this reset.

Thanks for the suggestion. It appears to work as expected.
