Hey People ... Have you heard of this???
Have been using MSAS Beta 1 for 4 months ... love it ...works great....last week it started slowing down my machine and making it erratic. After watching Windows Task Manager (WTM), it shows a spike to 100% cpu usage every 12 seconds (very consistent) .... it lasts about 3 seconds. Background for this computer is about 3-4% cpu usage. While spiking,WTM shows two programs causing this usage; gcasDtServ.exe and gcasServ.exe. .... both are MSAS programs. Shut down MSAS and problems goes away...restart MSAS and problem is back. Have uninstalled complete program, Downloaded new program from Microsoft and re-installed. Works fine for a few hours and then starts the same problem again. Running: cable modem, linksys router as firewall, zone alarm, windows firewall disabled, norton systemworks 2005 premium, spybot, spywareblaster, microsoft anti-spyware beta 1. All up to date and showing no problems or bugs. ALSO, is there ANY way to send this to someone who cares at MS??? Since it is Beta, you would think they would be interested in potential bugs !! Thx again, Jerry Dell Deminsion 4600 Windows xp home v:5.01.2600 w/ SP1 all updates except SP2 Pentium 4 @ 2.40GHz 1 gb memory and 80 gb hard drive Thx for any suggestions, Jerry |

There's some issue with norton systemworks 2005 and
Microsoft Antispyware beta, this will definetly be resolve on the next version of Micrsoft Antispyware. i think you have to install something so it will fix the bug. >-----Original Message----- >Hey People ...
