One one of my machines there are two or users logged on
all the time and we use Fast User Switching (FUS) to switch between the users without logging out. When MAS starts at its usual time of 2:00am, the machine becomes completely unusable because it is running in all sessions. What's weird is that the CPU isn't pegged (according to Task Manager). However, if I try to interact with any UI or do anything at all it is VERY painful. Aborting MAS in all user sessions solves the problem. I've moved the scheduled time to be later since I've been up at 2am regularly lately, but this still seems like a bad thing. Let me know if you can't reproduce the problem. I can help you out. Thanks, David |

Check back on performance in beta 2, although I have experienced similar
cases with other types of utilities while doing scan. I personally don't recommend doing anything while MSAS is scanning, no multiple open programs and "fus". -- Andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "David Potter" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:02eb01c54a48$76ab3680$a601280a@phx.gbl... > One one of my machines there are two or users logged on > all the time and we use Fast User Switching (FUS) to > switch between the users without logging out. I've seen this myself--I think it is the disk that is pegged, rather than
the CPU. I don't know what they can do about this issue, but I agree with Andre--I'd revisit this carefully when Beta2 is released, and give a loud yell if it is still there. -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "David Potter" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:02eb01c54a48$76ab3680$a601280a@phx.gbl... > One one of my machines there are two or users logged on > all the time and we use Fast User Switching (FUS) to > switch between the users without logging out.
