What is it detected as?
If you can get the author involved, the quickest way to get this fixed is for him to file for the false positive at: http://www.spynet.com/falsepositive.aspx -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "gxdata" <il_thomas@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:e8CBcggSFHA.488@CPMSFTNGSA04.privatenews.microsoft.com... > Whats's the score with the math.dll (by Nik Medved) being detected as a > nasty by MS AntiSpyware Beta1 (1.0.509)? > > math.dll is included with NSIS 2.06 scriptable install system > > > -- > Ian Thomas > GeoSciSoft - Perth, Australia > > |

I ran into this problem this morning as well with the 5709
definitions. It is detected as Unclassified.Spyware.61; Type Spyware; Threat Level: Severe When you click on the Learn more about this threat link it tells you there is no information available. I have also just submitted this as a false positive at the URL below. -- Jason McKinnon >-----Original Message----- >What is it detected as? > >If you can get the author involved, the quickest way to get this fixed is >for him to file for the false positive at: > >http://www.spynet.com/falsepositive.aspx > >-- >FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: >http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm > >"gxdata" <il_thomas@hotmail.com> wrote in message >news:e8CBcggSFHA.488@CPMSFTNGSA04.privatenews.microsoft.co m... >> Whats's the score with the math.dll (by Nik Medved) being detected as a >> nasty by MS AntiSpyware Beta1 (1.0.509)? >> >> math.dll is included with NSIS 2.06 scriptable install system >> >> >> -- >> Ian Thomas >> GeoSciSoft - Perth, Australia >> >> > > >. > |

Did you check it with the 5711 definitions?

That may be a false positive. At various points, Mcafee,
Norton, and Computer Associates have had false positives for viruses on the nsisdl.dll plugin. Perhaps the same thing is happening with a spyware false positive for math. dll. I have had the dll on my system for a long time. It just started being detected as spyware. >-----Original Message----- >Whats's the score with the math.dll (by Nik Medved) being detected as a >nasty by MS AntiSpyware Beta1 (1.0.509)? > >math.dll is included with NSIS 2.06 scriptable install system > > >-- >Ian Thomas >GeoSciSoft - Perth, Australia > > >. > |

That's useful--do you know what definition version was in place when the
detection started? Is the issue still there with 5711 definitions? -- FAQ for Microsoft Antispyware: http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "David Wright" <anonymous@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:041701c54a73$e3aac040$a401280a@phx.gbl... > That may be a false positive. I have my definitions set to update daily. My system
first detected the problem with the 5709 definitions. The problem still exists with the 5711 definitions. I hope that helps. --Jason >-----Original Message----- >Did you check it with the 5711 definitions? > >Gr.
